Check which it is that the csae has as they are wired differently between HD Audio and AC97, It is also possible that that fpaudio block is wired xl and neither will work.
I’m not that familiar with audio settings in win7 – but there are a lot of options so I assume it could be some wrong setting My Bios are updated to the latest version, i have also tried switching to AC97 but makes no difference.
